Lessons available for Term 1, 2022

Loren Easterbrook has been teaching Singing, Keyboard, Ukulele and Guitar for over 10 years. She has a Bachelor of Music and a Masters of primary teaching from the University of Melbourne. She has recently returned to New Zealand and is available for music lessons for term 1 only.

Loren helps her students to achieve to a high level, in an encouraging, supportive learning environment.

She draws on a wide range of approaches to learning music, including the Kodaly approach (certificate level 2 currently held) and her work as a jazz singer. She has a passion for composition and song writing and enjoys teaching music theory in a creative practical way.

All ages and skill levels are welcome. 

Lessons available from room6 at the Phillipstown Hub, in your home or via Zoom.

Instrumental Lessons

Guitar, Ukulele and Piano lessons for students of all ages from beginner to advanced skill levels.

These lessons may also be held in your home.

Singing Lessons

Loren has experience teaching all levels especially in Contemporary and Jazz styles. Singing lessons include up to date information on technique as well as performance skills and loads of fun.

Musicianship and Music Theory

Loren will help you improve your musicianship and gain a better understanding of music theory. She has studied advanced theory to a high level and is great at breaking things down for beginners. 

Composition, song writing and arranging

Loren is passionate about composition and arranging and is available for private tuition in these areas. She has developed her own approach to song writing incorporating music theory and the use of harmony knowledge to create beautiful, unique songs. 

Music for the whole family

Loren is skilled at working across a wide range of ages and enjoys bringing families together to make music. She can provide consecutive lessons or group music making.
